The tag is the source of truth

Every unit on an appliance floor has a tag. That tag is where the brand, model number, and serial number actually live — not on a sticky note, and not in a spreadsheet cell someone typed from memory.

Photograph the tag with a phone or tablet in the browser. Appliance Vision reads the model number, serial number, brand, and appliance type from the photo. Review what it found, correct a worn or glossy tag if needed, and the unit is in inventory.

What that intake is for

Getting brand, model, and serial right at intake is what later matching runs on — pulling the right unit into a sale, finding it in a search, grouping it by type, and matching it correctly on the P&L — once you set the price and complete the sale.

Correct a brand or type once for a model number and the system remembers. The next unit of that same model fills those fields from the last one you received.
